This is another one of those places I like to back to. Each summer when we are in North Carolina I spend a lot of time traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking nearby waterfalls. Patty has done an excellent job with the rocks and foliage of the frame, it's so real to life. She makes up what she thinks goes onto the frame. There is no larger photograph for her to look at or work from. Everyone of these frames is painted entirely free-hand, from her imagination based on what's in the photo. No projecting onto the frame, no cutting or pasting. Each frame is different every time she paints it.
