This scene was taken from the Appalachian Trail in New York. Fahnestock S.P. is a place where you could spend a week and not see the entire park. It's right off the Taconic State Parkway and Hwy 301. I went on this trip in Oct. 2001. We had one weekend off from doing art shows and I wanted to get some fall foliage scenes. I drove around Conn., N.Y. and Mass. for 5 days with no hotel reservations. Wherever I was when the sun went down was where I spent the night. I went from state park to state park taking pictures and hiked a small part of the Appalachian Trail. I can't wait to go back!
